LAZENCROFT EXCAVATION 06

Lazencroft is a former medieval manorial site of the Gascoigne
family who lived there from the 13th century. We have discovered
a stone structure complete with buttress, along with an interesting array of finds giving evidence of a pottery kiln and metal working on-site. If anyone has any old photos of the site we would greatly appreciate access to them.
Please go to the news page for
details on our Manston Kennels dig where we have finished excavating and are now processing the finds and writing the report.
